The calmness of the moment

A little preview of one of my new necklaces that will be taking stage at LOD on Thursday and has been beautifully photographed by Christian Habetzeder.

The sketch for this necklace was made in between figuring out angles and dimensions for my winter candleabra, and was somehow forgotten or laid aside until now. Forming wires directly after pencil lines allows the metal to attain the fluidity and grace of the sketched line.

For more information about what is happening at LOD this week check out http://www.lod.nu/Nyheter.htm.

This week it's all about the necklaces

On Thursday we have the preview of our springtime necklace exhibition in conjunction with WOHA (West Of HAntverkargatan) - the nightime mingel opportunity to be savoured once a month on Kungsholmen.

The last Thursday of every month is reserved for late opening and special events in the unique shops and galleries in the streets between Scheelegatan, Hantverkargatan, and all the way up to Norra Agnegatan. If you fancy reading up on the background and who's who and where it's at, then here's a little link - http://www.alltomstockholm.se/start/article1770966.aos. Otherwise just come down and take a look for yourself between 18.00 - 20.00 at LOD, before mingling vidare.

This necklace isn't taking part in the exhibition, so it feels pretty nice to give it some space now. Oxidised silver with a warm grey pearl.

Behind the scenes at Solviksbadet

We are preparing for the next exhibition at LOD and took the opportunity to do a summer photoshoot on one of Stockholm's most beautiful beaches. The exhibition is all about necklaces and setting the scene of summer at LOD, so it's been pretty busy in the workshop in the run up.

It was such a breath of fresh air to come to the tranquility of Solviksbadet and we had a lot of fun creating a series of stunning shots for the exhibition. Although the true credit must go to our fantastic model who was a chameleon - literally changing character for each piece of jewellery and to Christian who was behind the lens capturing the magic.

In these shots it's Petronella and Pernilla's necklaces that are being modelled. You'll just have to wait and see the results with mine.

A Dash of Colour and the Ascent of Spring

The light tonight was just fantastic. I thought I'd share it.

Modular Living

I took the opportunity to photograph these modular candle holders whilst I had so many in one place at one time.

The concept behind this design is that the placement of the modules is dictated by the central defining line. One can create graphics along a table with as many modules as one desires or as circumstances dictate. They can be combined in different variations, extending the whole length of a table or just with two, for more intimate candlelight.

A Little bit of Gold After A Royal Wedding

Ok I'll admit it. I wasn't following the Royal Wedding until the big day and then I too was swept along in the spirit of things. Not Welsh gold, but my most Princess-Like ring to date! Small white diamonds illuminate the inner curve of the flower. The perfect compliment to anyone that feels like being a little bit of a Princess.
